About

When I was five years old I met a tattooed man and he noticed that I couldn’t take my eyes off of the image in his skin. In an effort to satisfy my curiosity he sat me down to have a discussion about tattooing. He did not speak to me as if he was entertaining a child. Instead, he went into detail about how tattoos are created, choosing a tattoo artist who is both capable and creative, permanence, and the importance of choosing an image that you will enjoy for the rest of your days.

Having been fixated with drawing since I could hold a crayon, this conversation influenced the way that I created and viewed artwork throughout my life. Since that day I knew that I wanted to create tattoos.

After receiving my Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts and my Masters of Art Education from Columbia University I spent nine years as an art teacher in the Bronx. In 2005 an opportunity to learn the art of tattooing was offered to me and I dedicated myself to it fully. I would teach in the day and tattoo through the night.

In December 2007 I was invited to join Inkline Studio. I was very fortunate to pursue my childhood dream in such a creative work environment. The guidance and education that I received from my friend Anil had a tremendous impact on my artistic development and I will forever be appreciative of the time that I spent working there.

I am currently in the process of opening up my own studio in Westchester County. I look forward to continuing my study in the field of tattooing and hope to continually improve with each tattoo that I create.
